If you’re an active member of the Squads community, you’ve probably heard comments like “Add more players,” “Why aren’t there any players on the app?”, “The lines are too high” and so on. Our users have been vocal about their challenges, and as a Squads Game app user yourself, you may share those sentiments.
Our community always comes first, and we’ve been listening closely to your feedback. We locked in, and now we’re thrilled to introduce this new update that improves the overall app experience for you – Flames & Ice player option and projections 🤩
Now, WTF is Ice & Flames?
Ice & Flames player projections improve your Squads experience by dramatically increasing the number of players available on the market. With this update, you’ll now see over ten times more players available for you to make your picks from to build a winning lineup, compared to before, when player availability was somewhat limited due to the mechanism of the game that catered only to a specific set of players that meet certain conditions at a particular time.
Unlike the standard player projections, where you can either pick “More” or “Less,” you can only pick “More” on Ice and Flames player projections.
Also, a lineup containing a Flames or Ice pick can only be submitted with a standard entry
But there’s more. Flames & Ice also brings a fresh dynamic payout system alongside our existing standard payout structure. Rather than the typical 3 picks for a 5X payout, you could now see scenarios like 3 picks for a safer 3X, or even 3 picks for a massive 30X multiplier!
Now, let’s explain Ice & Flames player projections in detail.
What are Ice Player Projections?
For example, adding an Ice player to your lineup could reduce the standard payout multiplier of a typical 4-pick lineup from 10X to around 6X, depending on the players selected.
The Ice player projections are represented with the Ice illustration, as shown in the image below.
What are Flames Player Projections?
Flames projections are considered risky options. They come with higher lines, making them more challenging to achieve.
Adding Flames picks to your lineup significantly increases the potential payout multiplier. This is ideal for players who love to go hard (hopefully, they don’t go home 😂) for potentially massive rewards.
For instance, with Flames players in your lineup, just two picks could give you a payout multiplier of 10X or even 20X, depending on the selected players.
The Flames player projections are represented with the Flames illustration, as shown in the image below.
Dynamic Payout Multiplier
As mentioned earlier, adding Flames or Ice picks to your lineup replaces the standard fixed payout multiplier. Normally, you’d receive something like a 10X multiplier for 4 correct picks or a 30X multiplier for 6 correct picks. However, with Flames & Ice, your payout becomes dynamic, varying based on the picks you select.
For instance, if your lineup contains several safer Ice picks, your payout for 4 picks might be around 4.5X. On the other hand, if you go bold with risky Flames picks, those same 4 picks could potentially earn you a 100X multiplier.
Due to the dynamic nature of these payouts, lineups containing Flames and/or Ice picks can only be submitted as Standard Entries for now, and not as Flex Entries.
This flexibility lets you choose exactly how much risk and reward you can accommodate.
